What’s the deal with Mastery Camos in Modern Warfare 3?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) features 12 new Mastery Camos to unlock. Four of these are brand new for MW3 guns, four are from the Zombie mode and can be used on MW3 guns, and the final four are brand new Zombies camos for MW2 weapons. You can read more about how you can unlock Mastery Camos here.
Modern Warfare 3 is officially here. It’s being developed with Sledgehammer Games as the lead studio, in partnership with Infinity Ward, and it’s definitely a different kind of Call of Duty game than we’ve seen in previous years. For one, the maps that it launched with are the 16 original maps that launched with Modern Warfare 2 back in 2009. It also marks two years in a row where we’ve seen mainline Call of Duty games be in the Modern Warfare series.
Whether you’re still working your way through the Modern Warfare 3 campaign, or grinding away in multiplayer, there’s plenty of new maps to look forward to. The multiplayer mode already offers plenty for nostalgic COD players, with classic maps like Highrise, Rust and Terminal making a return.
Here’s every map that’s been revealed for Modern Warfare 3 (2023) so far, as well as some information on what kind of maps are arriving as part of MW3 Season One Reloaded. As new maps are revealed, this page will be updated.

Modern Warfare 3 (2023) Season One Reloaded maps
While we don’t yet have the names of all the post-launch maps that will come to Modern Warfare 3 (2023), we do know that more will be added via updates. More specifically, 12 all-new 6v6 core maps will come to the game at some point after launch, as part of season drops. The wording here is important, in that ‘all-new’ likely does mean completely new to the series. We’ll have to wait and see what these new maps are like, but at least we have the classic 2009 maps to enjoy until then.
As revealed recently, a new map is set to be added as part of Season One Reloaded:
- Rio (Season One Reloaded, 6v6, New)
So there you have it, those are the maps that are available in Modern Warfare 3 (2023) at launch, and beyond. For more on the game, be sure to check out details on what carries over from the last game, like Operators, and weapons.
