Awareness-Raising Campaign on Healthy Lifestyle and Against Discrimination
In addition to the above, a dedicated platform was set up to monitor the actual usage of the game. Six months after the launch of the videogame in July, the data collected through the platform showed an engagement rate of 42.7% with more than 423 thousand young persons, having played the game in Palestine. As for now, the majority of players have committed i) to get enough sleep, relax and be mindful (27.5%), ii) stop comparing themselves to others (28%) and iii) to eat healthier food (20%). All three components of this initiative aim to provide key information to the children and youth of Palestine about the importance of following a healthy lifestyle and fighting discrimination. This awareness-raising campaign is part of UNESCO’s effort to strengthen its intervention in addressing inclusive education in Palestine through “Education Cannot Wait”, – a global fund to transform the delivery of education in emergencies -, which was re-programmed due to the pandemic to finance this project as part of the implementation of the National Response Plan of the ministry.
